Who Is Chris Post?

Shortly after I filed to run for Presiding Commissioner, a local city official pulled me aside and asked me why I wanted to get into politics.

The truth is, I've always been into politics. At the age of 16, I remember realizing with great disappointment that I wouldn't be able to vote in my first presidential election until I was 20. In college, I minored in political science.

My early jobs in journalism were writing political commentary and I spent nearly a decade covering government here in Saline County. I can assure you, there are few people who have attended more government meetings in this county.

As a reporter it was my job not only to attend meetings, but to understand what was happening and relay that information to the people. Now, I would like the opportunity to reverse the process take the information from the people and use it to make things happen in government.

I want to see us pull together as one community rather than a collection of towns and make improvements to enhance the lives of everyone who calls Saline County home. I thank you for your support in making this vision a reality.
